On January 17, 2024, we got an idea for a unique and spectacular marketing event connected with the currently best advertising space in the world. This is the unique Tesla Cybertruck electric car.

About Tesla Cybertruck

The Tesla Cybertruck is a futuristic electric pickup that stands out with its bold, polygonal design, reminiscent of a sci-fi movie scene. The vehicle boasts an extremely durable outer shell made of stainless steel, giving it excellent resistance to damage. The Cybertruck offers an impressive towing capacity of up to 6350 kg and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.9 seconds in its most powerful version. It is also equipped with advanced autonomous driving features and has a maximum range of up to 800 km per charge depending on the battery configuration.

How did we do it?

On January 18, 2024, we presented the idea to our first client, who was enthusiastic about the proposal and immediately approved the implementation of the campaign. Great news, but a major problem arose: How to get a hard-to-find Cybertruck model in the US and import it to the Czech Republic?

We initially reached out to all available sources and contacts in the United States. Everywhere we met the same answer: Without direct contacts at Tesla, or without the status of a celebrity or influencer, it was impossible to purchase a Cybertruck. That’s why we started looking for someone who already had a Cybertruck on order. We found an investor in the Czech Republic, with whom we established cooperation and started the purchase process. Thanks to financial motivation, Cybertruck was eventually acquired. This was followed by the administration associated with processing export documents, insurance and organization of transport, which took almost four months.

Although the Cybertruck was successfully imported to the Czech Republic, work on the project did not end there. To secure vehicle insurance, it was necessary to obtain Czech registration plates, which required homologation. In addition, we had to make modifications, such as mounting moldings and rubbers on the edges, changing the headlights and minor repairs to the electrical system. The homologation process was successfully completed within three weeks, just before the deadline when the client took delivery of the vehicle on July 2nd.

The campaign was carefully planned two months in advance and its goal was to maximize the “wow effect” within 21 days, which we managed to achieve.

The vehicle generated huge public interest, was often photographed and the content with it was massively distributed on social networks, which was our intention. Each day’s program was planned in detail, including events with influencers, competitions, test drives and other activities. During these 21 days, the Cybertruck practically did not stop and traveled the entire Czech Republic from Karlovy Vary through Brno to Ostrava. Its presence always generated a lot of interest, and it was not uncommon for people to get out of their cars to take pictures of the vehicle while waiting at traffic lights. The public response was enthusiastic across the board.

Although we cannot share specific numbers and general client results, the success of the campaign was huge. The social media reach was phenomenal, as was the increase in website traffic, mobile app downloads and overall player activity during the campaign, which grew exponentially. The client was extremely satisfied with the course of the campaign and with the vehicle itself.

The client’s enthusiasm is always key for us, and in this case we also had reason to be happy.
